Sandboarding

This is the current site of the PGA-sanctioned European Tour event, the Dubai Desert Classic. The clubhouse at the Emirates Golf Club has been modelled like Bedouin tents and remains the most striking in the region.

Diving
The best dive sites in Dubai are off Fujairah on the east coast of the UAE. They are considered as superior in terms of marine life and visibility.
Most Dubai-based diving companies organise trips to the east coast (approximately two hours’ drive away). You can pick up snorkels, masks and fins at the dive centres detailed below, or buy cheaper fins and facemasks in the tourist’s shop of any Jumeirah beachside hotel. The following dive centres offer a whole range of courses for beginners, intermediates and more experienced divers.
